LONG-STEM ROSE (one 2 1/2” or 3 1/2“ rose on 9” stem) • 2 1/2” rose: 12“ x 4” felt* or 12”w x 9”h fabric** 3 1/2” rose: 12” x 6” felt* or 12”w x 13”h fabric** • 4“ x 9” green felt* for Sepal, Stem & Leaves • 9“ of wire hangar for Stem, approx. 12 gauge • 4“ of thin craft wire for Leaves, 26 gauge • Hot glue gun & glue • Thread

HELPFUL TOOLS Pins,
scissors, pinking shears, wire cutters, water-soluble marking pen or
tailor’s chalk, sewing machine foot with bottom groove to accommodate
stitching over wire
* For best results, use wool or wool-blend felt. For variegated felt rose, as shown at right, brush petal edges with watered-down acrylic paint.

Suitable fabrics include quilting-weight cotton, light-weight decorator
fabric, and other light- to medium-weight woven fabrics, such as silk
dupioni, or light-weight linen. Allow more fabric if matching stripes or
patterns.
